before I forget again...

Ever since I was a little girl... I have had this aversion to bumper stickers. Now, I do like to see them on other people's cars, and I see many I wouldn't mind displaying... but actually sticking on on my car?! Noooo...

Except, I have one now. The first bumper sticker I have EVER put on my car. Hopefully my dad won't freak. ;) Are you curious? I'm sure you are. The bumper sticker has a word and a number. Obama 08 (moveon.org sent it to me for free!)

Last night, I went to Quiznos to pick up dinner for me (after running errands, and hubby was at work). The on-duty manager saw the bumper sticker. When ringing up my salad he let me know I was getting 10% off for having a cool bumper sticker. :) I am amused. And hey- 10% off!

In other New Kid on the Block News... I was 13 when they were hugely popular, and such a fan. I look back now and just shake my head with a smile. So young, such bad taste. (though some may argue this still hasn't improved). Now I find, per Perez Hilton, that my teen fantasies are dashed! Why did the one I was soooo in "love" with have to be the gay one!? *laughs*

Although this: "x has a [non-famous] boyfriend and they're very happy," a source reveals. "They're not trying to hide it." is neat.

Dragons, just 'cause.

*grins* At this point it's more nostalgia than anything else (the New Kids thing). My 13 year old self wailing...

They were one of the first concerts I ever went to... They played the Ionia (Michigan) county fair when I was 13, so in 1988. I seem to remember the crowd having to let safety type people through because girls were passing out and all kinds of good stuff. ;)

Personally...I always thought Donnie had been hit with the ugly stick. Something about those cheeks! Yick.

I was just sitting here thinking about that time in my life. I had a New Kids poster on one wall and a Faith No More poster on the back of my door. What a weird juxtaposition. Mike Patton was hot whereas the Kids were cute. I think by this time I'd taken down all the Rob Lowe, John Stamos, and Ralph Macchio pics I'd torn out of Tiger Beat and 16 magazines. :P

Oh... we don't want to talk about my bedroom walls when I was a teen... *laughs* I had posters of ALL my loves- NKOTB, Johnny Depp, umm... Gregg Rainwater (from that show about the Pony Express, the name of which I suddenly can't remember... Young Riders maybe?). And anyone else who I thought was cute. At one point I think I counted over 200 'pairs of eyes' staring into my room. Nothing like Tiger Beat and 16 for those pinups! ;)

Back in the days of 21 Jump Street I was all ga-ga over Peter DeLuise instead of Johnny Depp. Yep, I rarely drooled over the obvious choices.

*giggles* Hubby and I started watching Firefly again last night. I can't decide about Nathan Fillion; he's kinda cute, but there's something a little odd about the way he looks, too. I feel old remembering him as Joey Buchanan on One Life to Live. :P
