Now, a real entry
Jan. 19th, 2009 08:16 amSo the weekend... was blissfully uneventful. Saturday hubby came home from work and we slept for a bit, before I was convinced to get up. Walked the dog, and chilled for a bit before getting hubby up. Then it was off to lunch! We did try to get air for one of my tires (it's a smidge low) but due to the weather, all the air compressors in the area were non-functioning. It was suggested that we try Discount Tire, but we were hungry, and it wasn't critical.
Spent a very low-key evening at home, watching the tele, played some Carcassonne... and yeah. Was good.
Sunday was more of the same, got up, went to breakfast, came home, watched "Hot Fuzz," laughed lots, hubby napped, and I knit. Hubby had to work last night, hence the nap. After he was gone I kept knitting (the 'scarf' I'm making is a total mess, but it's a learning experience...) and watched the rest of Doctor Who Season 2-3? (the season that ended with Rose's departure). I like Rose. Watched the first episode of the next season- did not like Donna. Sorry, but not all secretaries are oblivious idiots. Curious to see Martha. I started watching episode 2 so I saw a smidge of her, but I was informed by three fur-kids that it was bedtime! Well, in Kyle's case 'WALK TIME') Even so, I stayed up too late, I have a bad habit of doing that on Sundays. I think it has much to do with not wanting the weekend to be over, and definitely not wanting to go to work the next day. I'm grateful to have a job in this economy- really! I just don't like it much.
See? Totally exciting weekend.

Now it's Monday. *pouts* Least I have writing group tonight to look forward to.

Anywho, so I got to thinking about elements and their potential connection to this character. So now I have a query for ya'll.
Keeping in mind this character is a Fox, not a Coyote- so she's not pure trickster.

Houston, we have a problem...
Jan. 19th, 2009 11:38 amApparently I've been caught by some sort of allergic reaction. While I was aware that my sinuses were acting up- as in I've been in that 'prepped to sneeze' state several times, I haven't quite managed to sneeze yet. (hate that!!)
Then Mrs. Boss walks in, gives me one look and asks if I've been hit.

Apparently that bit of soreness on my chin is showing up as red and vaguely puffy. It was slightly, slightly red this morning when I was putting on my make-up. Now? Redder. Larger area covered by red. I've been aware that that spot of chin felt off, not really itchy but kind of sensitive and prickly, just wasn't aware of the change.

Let's see what's been new since yesterday- Bought some new eye shadow, but that actually went on my eye lids not my chin. Hence the name 'eye shadow.' Meanwhile, my eyes are fine, no problems with the eye shadow. My eyes tend to be really sensitive, so if they're non-reactive, I have to think it's not the eye shadow. The rest of my makeup is all stuff I've been using for some time. No new laundry stuff (no reformulated versions of old stuff), nothing else... Wait, except hand cream. But I used that Saturday night, and just a little bit last night. And this itch-thing is new as of this morning/ Plus it's not even the side I sleep on, so I would have tucked my hand under that side of my chin. My hands and arms are fine (I have a little spot of never-goes-away-eczema, and that's not even slightly itchy). May need to not use it anyway, see what happens. Hmmm... I did dye my hair on Saturday- but again, it's my chin and neck under my chin, there wasn't any hair dye there. My head, and back of my neck is fine... Weird.
Lovely. The hand cream is stuff hubby got me for my birthday too. :( Now more of my neck is itchy, but that's probably psychosomatic. Will be taking an antihistime right quick.
