It's happened...
Jan. 20th, 2009 03:54 pmIt's now officially President Obama.
I'm just really excited about this. The man isn't perfect, and I doubt I will like everything he does. But at the same time- I'm just really, really looking forward to the next four years.
As Obama said in his speech- it's not going to be easy, we're going to have to work to make things better. But I have confidence that we can do it.
I wish I could have been at home to watch the inauguration, but no, had to be at work. I did covertly watch some of it via web-feeds. However, they were somewhat unreliable. I plan to go back and watch the videos tonight.
Did get to read the text of his speech- many of you were kind enough to post it in your journals. I enjoyed it. I thought it was pretty powerful. Despite what some pundits are now saying. ;)
