Tomorrow is a Better Day
Aug. 4th, 2006 11:33 amWell, today now, but compared to yesterday (when today was tomorrow) things are better.
Oh sure, the head wants to hurt- but I can deal with that.
Last night was fun, husband coddled me nicely since I wasn't feeling well. And by the end of the evening the general state of my health was much better. We watched "The Neverending Story," which I saw once, long long ago and have since wanted to see again. It was actually better than I remembered, and an enjoyable way to spend part of the evening. There was cuddling and just closeness to be had, which just made things better.
( Then there was this weird dream this morning )
This morning there was a bit of an adventure for husband and Kyle... They're out walking and this woman has her puppy off leash. Said puppy is probably almost a year old and only slightly smaller than Kyle. So it comes running right at them. Kyle got a bit defensive in posture- afterall, there was a strange dog running right at him! Husband managed to get between them and apparently growled/something and scared the strange dog. Okay, bit unusual, but it worked, except the woman who owned the dog got upset telling the husband that he didn't need to scare her dog, and that he wouldn't have hurt our dog. Husband, not real calm/awake, explains that he wasn't afraid the dog would hurt Kyle, more like the reverse. Woman gets snippy and (while trying to catch her puppy and get him on leash) says that if Kyle is so mean than he shouldn't be here. Not mean, protective, husband explained. How would the woman have reacted if some strange person just flat out ran at her? And since it was HER dog that was off leash, it was the problem... That pretty much ended it, but I don't think we're all going to be best friends forever... Oh well. Hopefully she'll keep her dog on leash.
So that was early this morning. Poor Kyle, he's an absolute love with people- and he really does like most dogs. He's just used to greeting them differently- likely due to running stray for who knows how long. He wants to play- but he's not the most gentle of players- I think this is why Max and Loki are good buddies for him, they're bigger than he is. ;)
