Apr. 5th, 2005 10:11 pmWell hello. :) Can be a bit hard to find time to check in since I can no longer do so from work.
This past weekend the Beau and I went to see "Sin City." Wow. Loved the movie, loved the style of the movie, and really liked the dialogue. Though I must say... Elijah Wood's character Kevin completely and totally squicked me. Just, completely. Oh, and Marv was my favorite. :)
Today was my interview for Job I Really Want. The company is national- striving to improve people's lives via their health, which I think is groovy. The actual aspects of the job are right up my alley- and I really hope I got that across to the nice lady VP who was interviewing me. She said I would hear back by the end of the week. I'll be keeping my metaphorical fingers crossed in the meantime.
What other news? Not much really. Not feeling very well, but luckily I have not gotten the plague that seems to be going around- the new office I'm temping at has been at skeleton crew due to all the sick peoples. I actually called off this morning because my head was killing me and I just didn't feel right. I was only going to be in for four hours today, so it's not like I was missing all that much.
Not settling into this job well... too much confusion in the office. No one really seems to know what to do with me. I don't like wandering around not sure what I should be doing and not able to find anyone to ask. They put me into an office first, but I've spent all my time on the other side of the building shadowing a young lady who is leaving as of this coming Friday. So what was the point in putting me into this other office? Though I would prefer to be in the office rather than where this young lady sits. Just not really looking forward to going in, I hate working in an environment like that. Though, that's not to say I expect to be singing hymns of gratitude to be going in to work every morning. Additionally, it's just an 'eh, don't wanna' not dread... I'm just really hoping that I'll only have two more weeks of this as I will have a permanent job waiting for me.
So how have ya'll been?
