I frequently use the NATO phonetic alphabet to spell my last name over the phone, but instead of helping, it often just confuses the operators. "Hotel Echo What?!" Maybe this meme will help clear up the confusion.

International Phonetic Alphabet - just use the first letter of each word, and arrange those letters into words without changing the order they are in.
