Heehee!

Gandalf and Aslan were the perfect ending!

I know! I even liked the Twilight series, but I don't really get why it's being compared to HP at all...

And yes, LOTR and Narnia are out of their league. ;)

Have you read and finished the fourth... I THINK they were calling it a book?

[identity profile] jadecat.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup, and it qualifies as a book, there were pages, with much writing on them, all bound together... ;)

[identity profile] frawg-angel.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
In the classic sense of the word, perhaps. However, in the spirit of all that a book means, at least to me, it failed on that level.

How did you find it?

[identity profile] jadecat.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Eh, it was all right. I was rather pleased that Bella actually did become a vampire, I thought for sure she was going to weasel out of it. (Meyer that is.) It was far from the best thing I've ever read, but not the worst either.

The name thing though... Oh My God- awful!

[identity profile] frawg-angel.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that was pretty bad...

It wasn't the worst thing I read, but it was up there to me. It felt like someone else had written it... and yes, I'm glad they made her a vampire too, but good lord... the whining and the way they went about things, even to the end, was painful to me.

I ended up giving it to a coworker for his daughter rather than her buying it because I didn't want anyone having to spend money on this. icky

*laughs* Perhaps I just have more patience with the character's personalities. ;) Though they did tend to get on one's nerves. There were several little bits- interplay between two (+) characters that I thought was really well done. It's just the over all story telling and plotting that she needs to work on... a LOT.
