Meme too good to pass up stared by
beldar, but actually stolen from
brightflashes:
So the Palins have named their kids some interesting names. The Palins have two sons (Track, 19, and Trig, four months) and three daughters (Bristol, 17; Willow, 14; and Piper, 7) [ages as of August 2008]. (The Wiki goes on to explain why the couple named some of their kids what they did). This is all in good fun; not to make fun of people who choose exotic names. Just thought it would be funny.
Here's a little LJ meme for you, based on how they chose names. Presume you are just starting to have children, and will be blessed with five:
1)Your first-born will be named after the parents' favorite sport.
2)Your second-born will be named after a nearby area that you're not from but you like the sound of part of the name, and maybe you have nostalgic memories of said place.
3)Your third-born will be named after another nearby place, or your state bird.
4)Your fourth gets a "cool" name, derived from a favorite vehicle.
5)Your fifth gets something mythological, possibly straight out of Lord of the Rings.
(Or, taking another meaning of "Trig," your favorite college course.)
My answers:
1) Soccer
2) Hell (Hell, MI)
3) Robin (Eh, not bad...) ooh, or Eaton (Eaton Rapids, MI)
4) TT (Audi TT)
5) Griffon. ;) Uh... CĂșchulainn?

3. Loon (the provincial bird of Ontario) (!) or Outaouais (pronounced Oot-away).
4. BMW 320i. Or I guess I can name hir Bimma. Or wait, I'll name her Impreza.
5. Ring (Theory). Which also fits the mythological theme.
