Turkey Day- was at the inlaws, with NO step-daughter and family. Was most upset about this. Son-in-law wasn't feeling well and the weather predictions were bad. So they didn't go. Very bummed. I did enjoy seeing the hubby's mom and step-dad, and his sis... the bro-in-law is just strange... I'm not always sure what to make of him.
Friday- we took Kyle to the dog park- which was good for all of us. Then we went to Best Buy to get a memory card for the camera (good sale) but they were out... not surprising since we got there at like 2pm. *grins* I did get a learning Spanish language collection for $9.99 instead of $39.99. So I was happy with that. Then it was to the coffee shop to write. As of right now my Nano is back on track! Of course, that had more to do with yesterday... But had fun at Gone Wired, even had another Nanoer show up.
Saturday- was the memorial service for my uncle who passed away in September. It was hard- but at the same time nice to see his kids (considering I haven't seen them in years!). I did want to strangle them though- their father, a active, healthy man, maybe a tad overweight (but not much!)- had a massive heart attack. That's what got him- thanks to his smoking. Now I'm not sure if Cousin K still smokes, but it was quite clear her younger brother does. Argh! Smoking has already contributed to the early deaths of two uncles- I don't want it getting anyone else! Seeing people was good, I just didn't like the reason.
Sunday- had terrible migraine and no meds. So, got up to spend some QT with a cold pack. STILL managed to take Kyle to the dog park for his playdate. Walked 1.5 miles, got to see friends. Came home- took shower, then decided to take a bath too (Told husband I would be "out at some point" :) ). Helped with the headache... Then it was back to Gone Wired for writing (and hubby had to study). Managed over 6K yesterday! With my brain threatening to explode! Go me! So I'm happy with that. Just gotta keep it up. We have at least 2 more write-ins scheduled, so I should be fine. Very pleased.
In other news -hubby and I have kind of decided to put off going to Ireland until a year from Feb- mostly so he can get a year's working experience in, and so we can save enough money. Kind of disappointing, but it does make better sense. Especially since he's still not working, so saving is totally out of the question right now. Though he does have an interview this morning- anyone with extra good juju to spare- send it his way, please? Christmas is lookin' to be pretty lean this year. And I hate that.
I must now go to read what you are all up to. :)
