Oh, and I should probably mention this- I'm going on vacation. (!?) Yeah, I'm actually taking time off work and getting on a plane to go to an exotic locale known as Philly. Well, some of that statement is true.

So I leave tonight to go to my parents' house, then tomorrow at early (words intentionally left out) we leave to get on a plane. We return on Monday. I will most likely not access the internet. I know my hosts (namely older sis M and bro-in-law dagoski) HAVE internet access, I just don't think I'll be making use of it.

I'm going on vacation... this is so weird. My last vacation was two days spent with hubby at a B&B for our anniversary... before that? Oi... long time.

Yeah, it's not a little place is it? Lessee... Not in Manayunk, cause that's where they used to be, but aren't now. At some point we will be in Center City for shopping, and Sis said something about an aquarium visit.

There's lots of great restaurants in Center City! What kinds of food do you like? There's good Indian, Chinese, Thai.....and a great gelato place!

Hmm, not so good with the spicy, I do really like Chinese food. *perks* Gelato? There are some allergies to be taken into account (NO sea food for me) and my dad doesn't do "weird" food... But we like him anyway. ;)

Try Capo Giro at 13th and Walnut Streets for gelato, El Vez right across the street is supposed to be a good restaurant (although I've not tried it). If you like a fun pub atmosphere, try Sam Adams Brewhouse at 1516 Sansom Street. For Chinese, the Sang Dee Peking Duck House at 238 N. 9th is good.

Sunday mornings, Susanna Foo's (in China Town) does Dim Sum. It's fabulous, if you get the chance! But go early, they get very crowded.

I LOVE Lily Allen! So funny and smart. Haven't heard SJ Tucker. I'll look for her on LJ. My taste is really eclectic. I really LOVE Angelique Kidjo at the moment - she's from Benin. I also like a few guys, like Marshall Crenshaw and the Ramones. (I just got up, so I'm a tad fuzzy at the moment! I'm sure I'll think of more later).
