Dream a Little Dream...

Coupla dream stories for ya. The first, is not mine, but Kyle's.
Yesterday the hubby was out playing wtih Kyle and wore him out! (for a minute or two) Thus when the boys came back in, and hubby settled onto the couch for to play Champions of Norrath, Kyle jumped up next to him and fell asleep with his head on my hubby's leg. Now, Kyle does dream, and sometimes he will whimper in his sleep. Always makes me curious as it's not a playful 'ooh, wanna get it' kind of whimper, there's more fear to it. For those that don't know his story- my husband and I adopted our dog Kyle back in June, he was a year old at the time and picked up by animal control as a stray, he stayed with animal control for a month and then we saw him at an adoption event and took him home. :)
Yesterday, however, he woke up barking. Hubby was enthralled by the game and he "nearly jumped out of his shorts" when the dog just suddenly started barking. Yeah, dog's asleep one moment, the next barking his fool head off, jumping up and looking around wildly, before settling back down and looking at you for an explanation. Dunno about you, but I think that would have me jumping too.
Secondly, this morning I'm dreaming that hubby and I are snoozing and sleeping in on a fine Saturday morning. There's a knock at the door, but we're both too sleepy to bother getting it. So Alfred, our butler (and yes, the one from the older Batman movies, not Michael Caine's Alfred) answers the door and ushers
sarbah77 and her husband in. So my hubby and I are yawning as we're sitting up, trying to wake up. S's hubby sits on the end of the bed- to pet Sasha- mildly commenting that he's sure there's an explanation for this. I was going to explain that, yeah, there was, we'd been short on sleep for several days running and were trying to catch up- Christmas is a busy season yanno!
sarbah77 didn't actually say anything, but I knew she was there because I hadn't RSVPed for her birthday- at which point I dragged my purse from next to the bed (cause yeah, that's where I keep it...) and pulled out my little calendar to show her that I DID reserve that date for her- and it was in PEN and everything!
That's about when I woke up due to the alarm clock... *laughs* I was rather amused- I mean, we have a butler (cause all the cool kids do) and I was STILL relying on a paper and pen calendar system? Man, you'd think if we could afford a butler the least I could do is get a Palm Pilot or something...
