Oi with the poodles!

Oh today's gonna just be swell... Needed five more minutes to sleep this morning, which I took. Wait, needed more like another hour... Anywho, took the extra time to snooze with the hubby- and then ended up getting to eat only half of my breakfast (Frosted Mini-Wheats for those curious). Husband said he would eat the rest for me. Too kind.

The car windows were all dewy/foggy- so I rolled them all down and then back up again. It's what you do you know. Except, the back passenger side window didn't want to roll up. There was a noise when I tried to roll it down further, but it just wouldn't go up. This is just not of the good. Wouldn't roll up at all on the drive to work, and since the driver's side window has been known to not want to roll down- I figure maybe the glitch is actually in the control panel on the driver's side. Get to work, turn off car, walk to passenger side to try to roll up windows. Remember that I have power windows. Smack self in head. Remember to take keys OUT of hand before doing that again. Start car, try to roll up window. No go. However, I did discover that if I gripped the top of the window I can simply pull it up. Which solves the problem, mostly, temporarily. Problem being that I couldn't get it all the way up- I was gripping the window from the top of the 'glass'... so yeah. Will have to figure out later what to do about it. And hope it doesn't rain before I get the window all the way up.

To console myself I actually went and placed an order with BPAL. Very exciting. Well, if you're me. Who is also somewhat clueless these days. See, back in July I bought this really pretty silver fillagree and marcacite locket that's more like a small cage. The woman I purchased it from (at the Ann Arbor Art Fair) said it was on of their vintage designs and that women used to put small perfumed sachets in the cage. At the time I just thought this was neat and moved on. So yesterday I was reading about the lockets BPAL offers and thought it would be neat to have one. Again with the smacking self in head. I HAVE something similar! So I tried it last night- and it works beautifully!

If I had a brain I might be dangerous... Hmm, perhaps I should desist with the smacking self in head? Think that might help? I tried smacking other people- but they tend to get mad.

Work is fairly quiet, so that's good.

I liked this one because you could actually click to change some of the pictures if you didn't like them. :)

LOL re: head-smacking....

Really! I didn't know you could change them. I did mine but for some reason one of my pics was some big BOOBIE chicks!! WTF?? I could not figure out WHERE they got that or what interest is was supposed to be (being that I don't HAVE boobies down as an "interest" LOL!!!) Maybe I'll try it again!

[identity profile] jadecat.livejournal.com 2006-09-07 01:57 pm (UTC)(link)
The last interest collage didn't have that offer. Or maybe it did and I just didn't read the instructions- I'm very good at not reading all the instructions. So yeah, if you go to the above you can click the specific picture you don't like and it'll change- though 7 clicks and you're back to the first offer. Then when satisfied you click at the top to get the code. :)

Are you sure you don't have Big Boobies as an interest? ;)

ROTFL!! Really, I checked my interests over and over, and it just didn't say big boobies! :-D After 3 clicks, it turned out to be eBay!! How boobies and eBay got interchanged like that is a mystery to me. A'so one of my "working out" ones first had females that WERE exercising but all shown from rather provocative angles. And the first pic I got for vodka was some floozy passed out on the bed! Then it was a hunky nude guy with a bottle for a fig leaf. I'm not a prude but still....! LOL! Anyway, it was fun to tweak them and now mine is up!

So, what did you order from Bpal?

[identity profile] jadecat.livejournal.com 2006-09-07 02:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Miskatonic University and Veil (I have a thing for lilacs... not so much with other flowery scents, but I will most likely try anything with lilac in it. :) ).

'Course, now there's the waiting, and I hate the waiting... But I suppose I'll live. ;)

Yeah... I'm not sure what the shipping times are now, because it's been a little while since I made an order.

I do remember a point when it was 2 months to get an order.

If my reading of the site is right it's about 21-30 days.

I remember growing up and seeing stuff to order on TV and they always said 6-8 weeks for processing. That was reasonable- but now in this day andage of overnight shipping and whatnot- a month seems SO LONG! *laughs*

*nods* It was about a month when I got my last order, but that was a while ago :(

I can't wait until it's October so I can splurge and make my biggest Bpal order ever!

Oooh, whatcha gonna get? :)

[identity profile] eoywin.livejournal.com 2006-09-07 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably most of the Halloween scents. I do want a bottle of Perversion since my imp is running low :(
