So, remember that movie meme? These three quotes still have not been identified, so now I give hints/additional quotes:
1 I love how we sell shoes. I love how we sell them in twos, it's so... Noah's ark!
"Very bold plate selection, I might add. Explains the outfit."
"To eliminate a necklace would've taken another half hour."
"I see."
"Doesn't look like it takes you very long."
"Touché. I do seem to come out of the shower fully dressed in a blue suit." Simply Irresistible as pegged by

5 That's easy for you to say, you've never been ugly.
"There's nothing wrong with being a Christian."
"Are you out of your mind? How did this happen? I raised you, not a pack of Bible-thumping trailer trash. I raised you to think for yourself."
"No you didn't. You raised me to think like you. "
"You look at me, and you don't like what you see. But this is the price, Mother - the price of belonging to you." White Oleander a fabulous movie, also guessed by

(original rules :
A. Pick 16 of your favorite movies. <-- Movies I like that I haven't recently seen on anyone else's version of this meme.
B. Then pick one of your favorite quotes from each movie. (may include profanity)
C. Post the quotes in your journal.
D. Have those on your friends list try to guess what the movie is without Googling.
E. Strike out the quote once it has been correctly identified and place the guesser’s username directly after the quote.)

Date: 2006-09-01 02:18 pm (UTC)Basic story- failing restaurant chef (SMG) meets wealthy guy who works for big time store (like Macy's or something). There's a crab. There's magic- suddenly she's cooking what she feels (which incolves a really fun scene with Amanda Peete throwing dishware around...). I actually own it. :) Not a great FILM, but a fun movie.
White Oleander is incredible. It's somewhat hard to watch at times- but you've got a young woman whose mother is in jail for murder (played oh so well by Michelle Pfeiffer) so the girl ends up going from foster home to foster home- some good, some bad. Robin Wright Penn plays one of the foster mothers, Renee Zellweger another. The book is better in some ways- but the movie is fantastic too. Allison Lohman plays Astrid, the daughter, and does a beliveable job of protraying a character who goes from about 13 to 21(ish) in the movie. I don't own it *yet* but I have gotten in from Netflix three or four times, and convinced hubby to get me the book for my birthday last year. :)

Date: 2006-09-01 02:08 pm (UTC)Simply Irresistable is quite cute- I jokingly refer to it as either the magic crab movie, or the movie wherein you must have three names to star. ;)
White Oleander is wonderful, and yes, the mook is amazing.
