The weekend...

Saturday started well- with massages! My back was a little sore after- she really, really worked my perma-knots. DH was a bit nervous at first, but afterwards said his shoulders didn't hurt in the first time in forever. Win all around, and we will be going back at some point. Then it was lunch at Blondie's Barn, followed by a trip to Ypsi for gaming.

Gaming... highly entertaining. DH's character, in his goal to unify the galaxy in peace and harmony, managed to start a war and kill three people. *laughs* Not bad one one little Ewok Shaman. All my little mechanic managed to do was interview/approve three new ships gunners. Though one may be a problem... (slightly sexist) I'm still contemplating getting my Sparks involved with the Ace pilot on the crew. Some of the gamers may get a little tweeked, just because both happen to be women. Of course, tweeking them is kind of the point. :) (the Ace pilot is an NPC I've co-opted because Sparks isn't allowed off the ship during battle. Something about being essential in keeping the ship running...)

Sunday started slow, but then zen_kitty called with a movie invite- to see Chronicles of Narnia- Prince Caspian. So DH and I HAD to go! :) So very glad we did. The movie was a lot of fun (I think I like it better than the first one). Lucy remains my favorite. I do admit to tearing up a little in a couple spots. Plus the company was fantastic. :) Dinner afterwards at the Dubliner was quite tasty. We have also learned that I'm a lightweight these days, as one Strongbow had me feeling a bit tipsy and chatty... Was just fun.

Given that I've lived here for almost 4 years, it's so cool to finally have a 'local friend' that just calls me up to say 'hey, wanna go to this movie?' So thanks zen_kitty! :) Between you, thursday_kat, and cjtremlett I'm feeling pretty thankful for 'locals.' :) 'Course it just goes this way, I start finding my niche, and collecting some awesome friends, when we're planning to leave come February. *grins* I'll just have to keep pestering them until we do move- and then invite them all to come visit! :)
