Still Here!
May. 7th, 2007 05:58 pmHello everyone! I'm stil around, just, yanno, playing out in that world with the sunshine. Kyle-dog and I have been enjoying the better weather we're currently having and taking lots of long walks. He's actually sitting next to me on the couch now asking to pleeeeeeease go out. (Though I know full well the hubby took him out around 3 pm).
Christmas Cards! So yeah... some of you gave me your addresses around Christmas time and then never got cards from me. I, however, thought you had. See, while cleaning recently I came across a whole stack of stamped/enveloped cards that someone just never quite made it to the post office. Heh heh... oops. So, that has since been remedied, so some of you should be getting a Christmas card from me in the next few days (or however long the USPS takes to get them to you- two were going to foreign shores, so I have no idea how long those ones will take!). I figured sice they were already stamped I might as well send them. Right? :) Silliness is part of my charm- right? Timeliness certainly isn't....
Oh, and in the last month or so Kyle learned something VERY important. He cannot walk on water. Apparently he didn't know. See, near our apartment building is a pond, this pond is home to some ducks. This silly ducks didn't leave when winter hit and the pond froze over. While it was frozen, and the hubby let Kyle off leash, Kyle would sometimes run onto the frozen pond and try to get to them (no worries, he's not exactly subtle and while the ducks are silly they're not totally stupid and always escaped really easily). However, ice melts. But no one told Kyle. So awhile back hubby let Kyle off leash. Kyle went to chase ducks. This is when he learned that he can't walk on water. And when he got an impromptu bath in the pond. He was quite surprised. As was I when the two of them came home and Kyle was tearing through the apartment soaking wet. Luckily he's trained to not be scared of the hair dryer and submitted to getting dried off (and since it was still cold outside he probably appreciated the warm air!).
But I must went. :) Have to do the household books, get at least a mile walk in with the puppers, and (this one's new) get in at least an hour of writing. See, the hubby and I talked (well, I was a tidge upset about my writing, or lack thereof0 and I promised him that I would write for at least an hour a day. Since you know what they say about writers- they write. So yes, promised the hubby so now I have to actually do it. :)
I will check in more often- promise!
