Oh Yes, Hello...
Mar. 27th, 2007 07:37 pmI'm Here! Well, kinda sorta. The long and the short of it is thus- the internets, for all intents and purposes, have been banned at work for personal reasons. And since that's where like 99% of my lj'ing took place... I'm sure you can see where this is going. So I read a little bit from home, but haven't had much to say. Then a very kind friend gave me a shove, and here I am. :)
So what's new? Not too much. Still working at the same place, though now I spend much more time bugging the bosses to find things for me to actually do.
OH, I went to see a neurologist about my migraines. He seems to be a pretty neat guy. Our first appointment included a random side conversation about what appeared to be a Russian character doodled onto the back of the file folder my chart was in, and secondly on whether or not Putin was old school KGB. The second had a brief aside about Ayn Rand. So yeah, he's a neat guy. He had my head examined. I now have official proof that I do indeed have a brain. I also started a new migraine prevention med, Topamax. It's pretty neat. Though it has changed how diet Pepsi tastes, so I'm no longer mainlining the stuff. One 16.9 oz bottle a day (if that), and then water for the rest of the day. It's working out pretty well really. I've found that I actually rather like raspberry iced tea... so I have options at restaurants. This is good, we like options here.
Hmm, in other news... lessee, the gaming group has put down Rifts for now, it wasn't really working. We've instead picked Vampire back up- though we've started a totally new game. This has been a total blast for me. I'm actually playing a Malk for the first time ever- as a main PC, I've played them as NPCs before. She's a total trip. A complete nut job of course, but that's to be expected, or perhaps better to say a requirement. The husband is probably having more fun roleplaying in this current game than he ever has before. I never knew a Gangrel could be played in such a way that he could almost be mistaken for a Ventrue... Yet somehow it really works. And gets along well with at least one of the Malk's personalities...
And here's some fun, via Fortune Small Business magazine I have discovered The End Records- who happen to be the American distributor for Lordi. And from there I've discovered Stolen Babies and Estradasphere. This makes for the happy.
( Oh, and to prove I'm alive )
And that's all the news that's fit to print. Well, mostly. ;)
