I'm an Idiot

It's official... In the ongoing Laptop Saga- which I'm sure you're all enjoying... I handed the thing over to one of the techs this morning. Ten minutes later he came up to my desk "I got it working."

Huh? Apparently, the little plug was merely unhooked from it's notch in the board. It needed to be hooked back in and would be okay. Not great, and likely to pop back out again- but will work. He showed me how I could tell that it was indeed drawing power (heck, he got it to turn on- and since I had drained the battery he must have gotten it to work!).

So now I need to get something worked up- electrical tape or something- so that the plug does not come unhooked.

On the plus side, I may be an idiot- but I have working laptop again.

The Mr Boss has been busily cleaning off his desk all day- this means that most of the mountain from his desk is now on mine. So if you don't see much of me for a few days you'll know why!
