Garage Sale Laptop Update
Feb. 3rd, 2006 01:47 pmEdited... my slysdexia was acting up...
Well, against the advice of my friends- I did put in a $50 bid for the laptop- and got one. However, this was after finding out that it was a Pentium III, 900 MHz and 512 MB RAM (*NOT 215). This is actually a step up from my current desktop.
Also, it seems to be running Win 98 with MS Office Pro 2000, and many other interesting programs (NetWare, GWAVA, GroupWise, and some other stuff). Laptop also came with carry bag, additional mouse and network connection cord.
I figured for $50 it was something fun to play with, and would be useful for writing. The HD (the size of which I forgot to check) can't be too small with what all is on it- and once I remove some of the extra programs- should be plenty big for my needs. And again- just $50.
So far, I'm quite pleased with it.
