Work Shmirk
Mar. 25th, 2005 12:20 pmDo I REALLY have to have a job? *le sigh* So the temp job I mentioned yesterday? According to my rep they 'went with another candidate' so that's down the drain. Just when I had myself convinced that it was a great idea.
Oh, and what's with all the 'part time' job openings? Are there NO full time jobs available? Are they really trying that hard to avoid paying benefits?
On a positive note, one of the advocates here just spoke with me. Her partner, a lawyer, is looking for a secretary. The advocate (GC) gave me the lawyer's name and number and told me to tell the lawyer that GC gave me her name. Again, it's part time and the hourly pay isn't the best- but it's SO much better than nothing.
I must say though that I'm getting to the point where I don't want to bother getting my hopes up.
