So last night was pretty much a wash for most things- horrible sinus headache annoying me that started the night before.
Which is rather funny-strange given the night before last. I was quite proud of myself, I managed a whole hour on my Ellipse (after some stretching and ab/leg work). I was terribly afraid that my body would be sore the next day as a result. Well, no actually (though last night my left knee started to be cranky), my muscles weren't aching at all- felt really good- save for that nagging, pounding, too much pressure sinus headache.
I've been doing fairly well on not getting headaches- so yesterday of all days... I had an eye appointment yesterday so that I could get new contacts. My current pair is 5 years old, and I did try to get a new pair at DOC last year- that was a huge fiasco of no use.
But last night I dutifully went to Optometrists of Lansing (cause they were recommended to me) and met with Dr. Jacobs, who seems to be a pretty smart Doc. He was explaining that there is some thinning of my retina around the optic nerve, something that isn't uncommon given my level of minus correction. The name of it was perry-something... which seemed so awfully appropriate to me, and so I told him. After explaining 'Perry blindess' (as the big sis calls it) to him he thought it was pretty funny too. I like a doc with a sense of humor.
So the appointment went well, headache aside. Went home, heated up leftovers for dinner and crashed on the couch for about an hour. Do you have any idea how hard it is to snooze with a Danger Boy! playing with a milk jug ring around your feet? Yeah, was a challenge.
So in terrible pain I drugged up a bit and headed to bed. Kept waking up during the middle of the night, and for awhile there felt almost high. The strangest things were funny, almost enough to giggle over even though I wasn't fully awake. Though, given my mood the past couple of nights I'm very glad to have moved into this mood. Much more pleasant.
