Okay, so I'm covering the receptionist's lunch break- so I have some time away from my work stuff.

So, for a weekend update. Spent Friday night watching part of Angel season 1 (gotta love Netflix). Was up too late because the beau was late coming home. Apparently he got talking to a co-worker and then was halfway home before he realized he had forgotten something he really needed to have.
Saturday morning I was running a bit slow, so got to picking up friend A. a bit later than planned (but not by much- so I'm fairly proud of myself). We then met up with the lovelies
sarbah77 and
frawg_angel at Rocking Horse. Much fun and chatting was to be had. My stash is now rather full- I'm proud of myself. Plus I now own the full complement of Q-Snaps (though I think I may need another 11x11). Tax return money well spent. :)
Saturday afternoon I chilled with the beau for a bit before our 'date.' Dinner ended up being at the newish Max & Erma's near the Eastwood Towncentre (we'd never been and it was a good excuse). Max & Erma's was really good, all the food served properly (!!!) AND they brought the warm gooey deliciousness of their fresh chocolate cookies!! Yum yum yum!! We thought we would have to roll to the movie, we did contemplate walking there (it also in the shopping center) but decided that was a bad idea after the beau mentioned he might need a nap halfway there. :)
We saw the... not-good-but-entertaining Constantine starring Keanu Reeves and Rachel Weisz. As I said, not a good movie really- but it was fun to watch and the special effects were pretty cool. The storyline itself wasn't too bad- but it was Keanu. And had a STRONG anti-smoking message. There were several laugh out loud moments- and the girl next to us shrieked in surprise once- that was funny. The neat thing with this theater- the chair arms can be moved up and in between the seat backs- thus allowing a couple to cuddle, also allowing larger than average people to be able to sit more comfortably. Was interesting.
After the movie was grocery shopping. Which is always odd to do at 12:30am. They were restocking the shelves, and apparently this meant placing pallets right in the middle of aisles so you can't get a cart through. We did manage to get the stuff we needed. Though we no longer buy any meat at Meijer, preferring to go to L&L (better quality and prices).
Sunday was a lazy day, for the most part. Watched "Coupling" and laughed quite hysterically through most of it. Jeff is still my absolute favorite. Worked on the cross-stitch I purchased on Saturday, it's for the beau's sister's wedding coming up in May (this was vaguely referenced a few posts ago. ;) ). It's coming along quite well- looks pretty good too, though I'm not sure about some of the backstitching.
Yesterday I was off work, and mostly bummed around- stitching some more. The project for the beau's sis got put to one side because it was going so well and I knew I would be able to get it done in time so I wanted to work on something else. Realized that the fabric I bought Saturday for a project for me mum was 14 count aida, and I could have sworn I told the woman I wanted 18 count. This project just keeps running into problem after problem! Grr! So today I'm going to try to run to Nimble Needle in Williamston to see if I can get some new fabric and maybe actually work on it! It's not cursed, really!
So yeah... been stitching a lot lately- but I want to stitch more!! Tee hee.
Oh and again watched 10 Things I Hate About You yesterday. The beau came home to study and spend time with me, and he enjoyed it as well. It's a fun movie, then again I like Julia Stiles.
