Westminster Kennel Club
Feb. 16th, 2005 09:43 amInteresting, I just saw the Westminster page (remember, no tv so I didn't get to see it live) and the results were interesting to me this year. Many of the 'usual' winning breeds seemed to have gotten a slight push in order for some new breeds to come in, so to speak.
A German Shorthaired Pointer was top dog, which is kinda neat. I see that a Great Pyrenees took the working group, and a Border Collie took herding, which I think would make
mightyafrodite happy. :) Of course, a Peke did take toy, but a Pom came in second. :) Then lessee, a Bloodhound for the hound group, non-sporting was taken by a Tibetan Terrier, and the terriers taken by a Norfolk Terrier.

Random thought... the total oddness of seeing my aunt and uncle's Newfoundland with, what I can only describe as, a lion cut. He just looked... strange (but this was in the summer and I'm sure he was much more comfortable that way).
