Please hold one moment...
Dec. 18th, 2004 04:52 pmWell, we've had to push paws, er pause. Apparently Mr. Leo was, well, fully entact. So the little man did NOT come home with me today after all. Lil fellow comes home on Monday after getting snipped. Feeling slightly 'eh, okay' about it- but it is for the best and he IS coming home Monday. *happy dances*
Got to visit with him today, reinforcing my decision- they have many adorable kitties there, but I'm getting the best one. Well, so says me, I'm sure the girl who got her kitten thinks she's getting the best one... It's okay, we're all biased. (see, I ended up going halfsies on cost with a friend who wanted to get another friend a kitten for Christmas and a handsome lil orange fellow picked her out- so now there are TWO Christmas kitties! Is all for the good.)
In other news, I shall be getting off the computer shortly here so that I can get ready to head up to St Louis MI to attend the future step-daughter;s bachelorette party. I'm slightly nervous about this- new social situations throw me off, and I can get quite anxious about them. I talked to my mom via phone for an hour- and that calmed me down. But now I'm getting all worked up again. If I self-analyzed I could probably come up with a reason why these situations throw me into such a nervous state- but I don't really think I have time for that now. Well, that and coming up with the reasons why doesn't necessarily lead to a successful "cure."
Although in this case- I think it makes sense to be slightly nervous. I mean, what if the conversation turns to sex? Am I really going to want to say anything about the bride's dad? Yeah, could get a little weird.
