Whoa, three updates in one morning? Somebody stop me! ;)
The weekend was more fun than I had expected. The Saturday gathering at friend JD's place was good. There weren't too many people there- so my social anxiety wasn't too high. The conversations meandered nicely, and quite lively, so that was good too. They have both a pool and a hot tub- both of which looked quite inviting. But I did not bring my suit as I would not be swimming. I would not be swimming since I do not like how I look in a swimsuit- and AM- JD's fiancee, is of the small sized, competitive type. So I just avoided it altogether. Luckily while others got some grief for not swimming (the guys - save my hubby- attempted to play water volleyball) I was mostly left alone. AM did end up swimming, but the rest of the girls were of the Hell NO! type. ;) Did get to soak my feetsies in the hot tub, and friend J got her suit on so she could hang out in the hot tub. All in all, quite fun.
Sunday was neat as for once the husband didn't have to work. Mid-afternoon was the dawg's first obedience class. I got rather nervous about it- but it actually went really well. There are 5 dogs in the class- of which Kyle is the only one that has multiple people for the same dog. Ah well, we were told it was okay. He was pretty well behaved- though there was a little red girl named Ella who is about 4 months old that just fascinated him. She did keep barking at him, which of course made him want to see what was up. After class 4 of the 5 dogs (the fifth being a skitting Jack Russell) sniffed and played a bit. Apparently Kyle decided that Ella was his girl, and worked to keep her away from Achilles the big I-don't-know-what (he's too small to be a mastiff but he's got the look). Achilles was just a lovable lump. So we learned that Kyle is just agressivley friendly, and that some of his behavior is due to how we humans react. Oops. Ah well, we're learning. :)
In other news, I'm utterly sick of my hair and may be chopping all of it off soon.
