Books and Shallowness

Oi, this is turning into a rather long day. Hence my taking a late lunch break, hoping to make the rest of the afternoon go faster.

So, last night was the great book-unpacking/sorting. Got a bit frustrated their for awhile. I have too many books for the space allotted. The only real solution at this point in time would be to either pack up some of the books, or sell them at the upcoming garage sale the housemates have been talking about. Both ideas give me minor heart palpitations. Heh. Just can't quite bear the thought of getting rid of any of my books, getting rid of books in general seems painful. (heh, the 'getting rid of books in' was originally 'book sin' before I corrected the typo... Freudian finger slip? ;) )

In other shallow news... I think it's time for a minor haircut, just a trim mind you. There's a bit of me that wants to go for a major style change and just cut it all off. I'm trying to beat that thought to a pulp. I've wanted long hair for quite some time now, so I'm not cutting it all off. Really. Just a trim.

Oops, gotta get back to work. Laters!!

I don't think that's the only solution, seriously. We'll talk about it later, kay?

Hey, I offered two solutions. ;)

Seriously though, there really isn't another way to rearrange what we've currently got going. But if you insist, we can talk about it when I get home from getting some hairs cut. :)

A simple solution: Putting the reference-type books upstairs in our rooms or in the basement in the two bookcases we've got.

But, but, but, I like them where they are.

hey! I'm a grad student at umich, living in ann arbor. I too like cats and buffy, and historically, RPGs, so I'm friending you. it sounds like you already know people in the area, but if you ever get bored, feel free to drop me a line...

Hey there! Welcome to my little corner of LJ.

What are you studying at U of M? I aspire to be a grad student one day. :)

I like your spunk. at risk of being a malicious serial-adder, I am going to friend you too. In my defense, I am a ramapnt extrovert with suck boundaries. and I like my best friend too (audacitygirl--i'm trying to pimp her and I can't even come up with anything good enough, just go read). besides, I went to thailand and came back and now michigan seems boring and I want to meet new people and do new things and I'll stop gushing now. but you know, if you don't want to be friended, just let me know!
