There is a book swapping website that I use when I'm looking for a book I want, and I recommend it as a way to get rid of your old books:

And another one is:
www.swaptree.com
Both sites are great, but BookMooch is better for books because that's all they swap. Swaptree lets people trade CD's, video games, and DVD's, too.
Another reason I like BookMooch better is because you aren't doing direct trades - you post what you have to share, and someone else asks for it. When they report that they got it from you, you get a "credit" which you can spend on something you want from the site. With SwapTree, they are real trades involving up to 3 people - for someone to get a book from you, they have to have something you want, or something that another person wants who has something you want.
