I'm one of those people who're awful at cleaning, since I'm also a bad sort of sentimental when it comes to old things. I'll start finding things that I didn't remember I had, and, no, can't throw this away, or this, or this, or this...
I actually did a fair bit of cleaning in my room (at home) this past weekend. Donating a lot of clothes and all that.
As for books, I would totally be interested.
Glad your birthday stuff turned out well, too! Sounds like it was a lot of fun, and that new laptop looks absolutely spiffy. ;)
