Keith Olberman has such an interesting way of getting to the heart of something.
I watched the 9/11 "tribute" that the RNC did. And Keith is right, it wasn't a tribute. It was a campaign slogan. I was saddened that they would take a national tragedy and use for their personal gain.
Also the part about McCain knowing how to capture Bin Laden. Very interesting.
This commentary was very powerful. As I'm not following the American election news closely [I'm a Canadian living in Canada] - I just follow the outlines - I had no idea that McCain had shown 9/11 footage at the RNC last week and was shocked to think that he had a)shown it and b)used it as a tool in his election campaign. Even non-Americans, like me, look back in horrified remembrance at those terrible images.
Forgive me, but the last part about McCain and Osama bin Laden actually made me giggle; it was so ludicrous. The entire Republican campaign, however, appalls me, as does Sarah Palin.
