Tap... tap.. tap... This thing on?
Jun. 20th, 2008 11:31 amOh hello there, apparently it is. ;)
Things are looking pretty good this Friday morning. I seem to be feeling better (I had a small bit of food poisoning the other day, which left me feeling, well, yucky. It's also a reason I've been rather quiet around here.), which is a plus as we head into the weekend.
Weekend looks good- DH home tonight, he does work tomorrow night, but a friend is having a party and I'm going to that. Should be fun! Other than that, not much planned, which means I can work on things around the house that I've 'meant to get around to doing.' Like going through my closet and getting rid of anything that doesn't fit. I told DH this, and he wanted to know what I was planning to do when I lost weight (if I got rid of my too small clothes). I grinned and told him that I would just have to buy new clothes! So I then need to find someplace that will either take my clothes, or some donation site where I can just drop them off. Local types- do any of you know of any women's shelters that might take clothing?
I'm also reading On The Prowl, a set of four short stories of the Urban Fantasy persuasion. The first story is by Patricia Briggs called Alpha and Omega and is a story about werewolves. This particular story is in the same world as her Mercy Thompson series- and involves Charles, the other son of the Marrok (head werewolf). The concept of an Alpha wolf is pretty well established in every werewolf/wereanimal story, Patricia Briggs adds the concept of the Omega wolf... It's fun to see how she illustrates the concept in the character of Anna, before we're told a fuller explanation of what makes a wolf an Omega. I highly enjoyed it- and was happy to find that Amazon is taking pre-orders for the full length novel featuring Anna and Charles. So yeah, I pre-ordered it. :) It'll be here in.. uh, August. Hmph. Ah well, will just have to find something else to keep me busy. Maybe I could write! ooh... The Jessica were-jaguar character has started thumping around in my head again.
Or I could work on the party we're planning for my parents 40th wedding anniversary. Much work to do, not much time left... reminds me, must contact SILs (as brothers are being less than helpful in this matter). Much work to do tonight and over the weekend methinks...
On to dragons! Why? Because.
First off- my gold hatchling is now an adult! Isn't he shiny?

Hatchlings- think girl thoughts:

White Eggs I bred, and will be releasing for adoption, but want to give them some attention first:
