Hi everybody! Just to let you all know, I arrived home safely.

There was much fun to be had on vacation. Got to see the Elder Sis M, the bro-in-law, and their kitties. I even got the shy one to allow head pets. The crazy kitten was highly entertaining, even if he did demand (and receive) a blood sacrifice. Reminding me that cuteness is a survival tactic for kittens.

There was clothes shopping! Which lead to me having to pack some of my new stuff in my mom's suitcase 'cause I ran out of room. But new clothes! Pretties purchased for the first time in a LONG time.

Also- yarn shopping in Center City! We like Rosie's, not sure about Loop, although they did have a great book for guys who knit. Also a book 'No Sheep for Me' (or something like that I forget exactly) that's all about knitting with NON-wool materials. Since I can NOT wear anything wool (except alpaca but that's not really wool. ;) ) I was curious about the book. On the other hand, I also don't knit, so it wouldn't be terribly useful for me... Ah well. Maybe I'll learn.

Ooh, and we had a side trip to NJ to go to the Adventure Aquarium! I petted a shark. :) It felt funny. And touched a jelly fish, which was cool. Got to see lots of fisses, and took many pictures. Although the problem of the day- I took a few pictures and realized my battery was low, and of course my lovely camera doesn't have something like AAA batteries that could just be swapped out. Oh no. That would have been easier. However, I had my super-nifty camera bag (hubby got it for me specifically for this trip- isn't he sweet?) and my charger was in the bag. Then I spied an outlet - and was all crafty about plugging it in. This however didn't seem to work (although I was kinda nervous about it so I may not have left it in long enough). Then a few minutes later found another outlet- out in the open... - and plugged in the charger and it worked! So I stood there feeling like a royal idiot for a few minutes to get some power back into the battery. Pictures needed to be taken! And thus they were.

So yeah, the trip was much fun. Though I must admit to really missing the hubby. We haven't been apart for that long since we started dating 5 years ago! I had to call him every day. Yes, we're pathetic.

The cats may have missed me, it was hard to tell last night when I got home. See, dinner was late so it was either 'Momma we missed you!!' or 'Hey, food, now!' Sasha did get extra snuggly last night when I was trying to sleep, though. Kyle, on the other hand, was absolutely beside himself (sometimes quite literally given how much squiggling he was doing) with joy when I got home. It was cute. Now, I don't tend to think of my cats as overly large or anything, but they looked so HUGE compared to my sister's. Of course, Sigmund IS 5 months old, and Tessa just never got very big. Leo looked amazingly giant-like though.

So yes, home, and trying to make my way through the insanely huge number of posts I missed. Going away is good, and so is coming home.
