It's not going to be a good day, Tater
Jan. 3rd, 2007 09:07 amYeah, so this morning was one wherein the alarm clock went off while I was dreaming. Ordinarily this isn't too much cause for a high level of annoyance. However, in that particular dream- I was pissed off. I was mid-rant at someone for saying something stupid, and the alarm went off.
So yeah, got up fairly annoyed at everything. I snapped at Sasha for being too mouthy (which isn't anything new, every morning she goes on a long diatribe about how hungry she is)- and yeah, that really worked. Which only made me MORE annoyed. I let the hubby sleep in so he wouldn't have to deal with me.
I think I would have recovered on the drive in- had people not been completely stupid. I'm sorry but a 'YIELD' sign is not the same as a STOP sign- especially when NO ONE IS COMING THE OTHER WAY! As far as driving goes- I'm a good driver (so sayeth Rainman, I know). But still, I drive well- and obey (mostly- highway doesn't count. ;) ) speed limits. So on days like this it's especially annoying to be driving down a road with a 40 mph speed limit behind someone insisting on going 30-35mph, only to turn onto a 30 mph road and have that SAME PERSON driving 35-40mph!! (and yes, this actually happens daily- with different cars) Obviously they're just driving at whatever speed they deem 'safe' with no awareness of what the actual speed limit on the road is! And it's POSTED! More than once!
That's how my day started... Hopefully it manages to crawl it's way to a better place. Hey, the hubby is actually home tonight, so I'll get to spend time with him. This is a good thing. Will focus on that. :) And he's buying Subway for lunch- which means COOKIE!
