Weekend Roundup
Oct. 30th, 2006 01:39 pmFirstly- thanks to everyone who has participated in my Tea / Friending Frenzy! :) I've never, EVER had a post reach over 100 responses- much less nearly 200! I am stunned, and quite pleased. :) I must admit there were a couple times when people connected and I was a bit amused- because I had thought they were already friends! *laughs*
Let's see what else... Friday night was a bit odd- I'm not used to having the husband home. We just kinda puttered around for a bit, had dinner and then snuggled on the couch for a bit prior to me sending him off to nap before he had to go into work. This was also the night when I determined that I HAD to finish cleaning/restoring a touch the antique chest of drawers I got from my parents. This bureau has been in the family for ages, and somewhat neglected. It had been in the garage before I got it simply because no one was interested in it. It's very simple- no ornamentation to it- but it's an antique and it's from the family. So the holder of the history degree had to take it!

Oh, I almost forgot- Saturday started a bit oddly. Normally when I get up Sasha is already awake and crying for her breakfast. Either that or she's telling my very in depth stories about the dreams she had the night before. Cat dreams are interesting, I must say. However, on Saturday I got up- and she didn't. She just stayed all curled up on the bed. I went about my 'first thing in the morning' business- and she stayed on the bed, breathing and everything, just not real keen on getting up. After I walked the dog (having fed the other cat) I discovered tangible proof that Sasha had an upset tummy. Luckily this proof was not on the bed. She didn't end up wanting to eat until about 3 in the afternoon- which is so weird for her. Since then she's been her normal self and both Sunday and this morning she was telling me all about everything when I first got up- so it's all good now.
That was pretty much the weekend. Enjoyable- but not nearly enough time spent with the husband, on the plus side his company is interviewing this week so hopefully he won't have too many more weekends to work.
