The Weekend
Sep. 5th, 2006 03:58 pmFirst things first-
deyaniera thank you so much!! :) Zee package from you arrived on Saturday- completing a wonderful day. There was much squeeing and dancing around.
In relation, I now have had my first BPAL experience. And it was good- even if my nose isn't nearly as sensitive as many other people's. Which basically means that I can't distinguish all the varying notes and so on. It's still good. :)
Well, Saturday was the venture up to the parental's with husband and dog. I was expecting that it would just be my parents, my brothers and their wives, two of my aunts (my dad has five sisters) and hubby and me. Well, all of us were there- plus my mom's dad, along with two of my dad's other sisters and their husband, plus one of my dad's brothers. So yeah, more people than I was expecting. Kyle was quite the gentle-dog and pretty much charmed the socks off everyone. It was quite the hit when he managed to get his cloth frisbee over his head and then ran around wearing it as a necklace.
Had some quality time with the hubby before he had to go to work. Then there was a lot of sleeping. The dog actually let me sleep in! Wow. Sunday was pretty much a laid back kind of day- which was really nice. Hubby always takes a nap when he gets home from working on Sundays (after 12 hours I can't blame him!) and since this week we didn't have puppy class (he graduated last week!) I decided to crawl in with him after awhile rather than just waking him up. So there were snuggles to be had before we went out to forage for food. Applebees has food, and quite tasty stuff at that. They also have a new rasberry rapture dessert. It's aptly named. Hubby and I shared, which was good because I think an entire serving to myself would have killed me.
Labor Day was spent in a great deal of not laboring. Save for the preparing of nachos for lunch. Other than that, I did nuthin'. Hubby did have to work, or course.
And now it's hailing out- like a LOT of hail. Apparently the proper response when one's boss mentions that is not 'Well, hail!' said in the best fake southern accent. I thought it was funny. Then again, half my face is numb from having three fillings put in today. But that's done now and I don't need to go back before my 6 month check up. Thank goodness. I really do like my dentist though- she does a really good job. I just wish I could feel the left side of my face... or my cheek. Yeah.
