So I did it, jadedcat is now jadecat. Not a big difference really, but it makes a difference to me. :)

In other news... Weekend was fun, too short of course. Saturday at sarbah77's was much fun- and my cross-stitching fervor has been renewed. Yay! Interest was seriously flagging there for awhile. But, renewed. :)

Had class with puppy on Sunday, and it went quite well! We played musical chairs (minus the elimination part) wherein the people walked their dogs around the chairs and when the music stopped we had to get our dogs to sit and stay and then we sat in a chair. If the dog got up, we had to get up. Kyle did quite well.

Monday was pretty good. Husband was crabby at lunch time, but nothing major. Got home from work, walked dog, did some strength exercises, cleaned litter boxes, vacuumed. Oh! We finally, finally got around to getting a Dyson DC14 Animal!! I've told many many people about it- but I don't think I actually posted. Being smart little consumers, we purchased it from Bed, Bath and Beyond! with one of the many 20% off coupons they send us. So yeah, got about 100 off. :) I LOVE my Dyson. It's truly amazing.

Spent much of the evening in a very UP mood. Which was quite enjoyable. Tuesday... eh, not so much with the up. Nothing was going wrong particularly, I just felt rather down. No fun, I don't recommend it. I'm still not quite recovered from it, and terribly tired to boot.

Tonight it's- head to the SOS to renew my plates (as they correspond to my dad's birthday not mine), yay fun that will be. Then off to the grocery store for a prescription and some odds and ends. Go home, feed yowling, starving to death cats, walk dog, and then crash out on the couch and stitch. Sounds good to me.

Oh, I did make a potential new friend at my apartment complex- how weird is that. ;) I was walking the Kyle-dog and saw this woman, about my age, walking towards us. So I pulled Kyle closer to me- I know some people don't like dogs and don't like to assume they do. Well, she does like dogs and she greeted Kyle and we chatted for a few minutes. She seems nice, and asked me to stop in whenever I wanted someone to go walking Kyle with, she used to have a dog and really misses being around one.

This situation I find kind of funny, see when I first moved in to my apartment in Ann Arbor I used to go for walks by myself. One night I see this big ole german shepherd loping towards me, off leash, with a person following behind. Now, I had lived with a german shepherd before, and could tell by the way he was moving and stuff that he was just a happy 'hi how are ya? great, gotta sniff elsewhere' kinda dog. The person walking him said something to me- but as I had ear phones on I couldn't hear her. So I took them off and she laughed and repeated that her dog wasn't dangerous- as I petted him. Said person and I stood there for probably a good hour just chatting about this that and the other thing. This would be DK, with whom I'm still good friends, and who invited me to join the Vampire game she was running. That led to the Mage game, and then mightyafrodite and I moved in with DK and her hubby BE when they bought a house. Now it feels like I'm on the other end of the scenario (though we didn't actually stand there for over an hour chatting!) and it's neat.

Tomorrow is the annual 'company takes employees and family to the Lugnuts game' evening. The Lugnuts being the local minor league team. We went last year and it was a lot of fun. Mrs Boss always like to get surprise 'gifts' for us- last year it was those fold up camp chairs with the company name on them and Lugnuts t-shirts, dunno what this year's will be. She insists it has to be a surprise. I'm just glad this year that it comes on one of hubby's scheduled days off so he doesn't have to either use a vacation or personal day. Using them seems to make his boss crabby...

So that's pretty much the state of the jadecat's world.
