jadecat: (Crazy Much)
So yesterday evening was exceedingly good. Spent some very enjoyable time with the hubby. Sleeping however was a different matter. I was having another of those nights wherein I found it difficult to stay asleep. Husband was having difficulty sleeping as well - his neck and shoulders were bothering him. So we kept waking each other up. As a result I can't seem to stop yawning today.

This however has led to some interesting dreams. In connection with that quote meme that's been going around. "Fate rules the affairs of mankind with no recognizable order." Seneca (5 BC - 65 AD)

Not last night, but the night before (when I simply went to bed too late) I had this bizarre dream that I now only remember part of. Basically some of the concepts we hold had become incarnated (ala the Incarnations of Immortality by Piers Anthony). In this case Fate was incarnated into the body of a teenage girl. Who was mad as a fucking hatter. Oh my. It was interesting being in her head and yet not.

As I remember and expand on the concept- basically Fate knew what was planned, but due to being mad, sometimes just changed her mind. After the fact... In the dream a woman got stabbed, and Fate merrily breezed in and decided that no, she didn't want that to happen and consoled the woman- running her hand over the woman's belly wound. The wound healed, yet the woman still had the full memory of actually being stabbed. Then Fate danced off into the wind, singing to herself. This is when she apparently became invisible (her visibility status depended in part on what she was doing. People don't dance ON the wind- so she was invisible. People do talk, so at that point she was visible). I'm intrigued by this image of Fate (though some of the other incarnations weren't happy with her) and may just have to follow her for a bit. Maybe there's a novel/ette in the works for her. ;)

So yeah... This was after the bit about two girls living in an orphanage type place (one mid-teens the other much younger) who were trying to escape. Turns out the little girl had quite the stash o' cash. Sadly it was all in Euros and Chinese currency. The elder realizes that they're going to have to stop by a bank to do a currency exchange. Then there was a man/head of the orphanage and a scuffle, chase/hunt for the girls. They caught the little one, then found the older girl's hiding place- but touched her ankle, which was a huge trigger for her and she ended up going ballistic. She did however manage to escape with the little girl. I'm not sure if it followed that the older escapee was Fate, or if that was different.

My head can be such the strange place at times. It did however provide me with the architecture for the Library- so I'll keep it.

In other news... well, there really isn't any other news. Kyle is still being a lovable goof in the house and a pain in the ass on leash. We're working on it- but suspect the whole 'loose leash walking' as taught by PetSmart may not be the best idea for him. The cats are good- we've started feeding them canned food in the evening- as Leo has managed to figure out that it IS food. And man, I thought they were demanding about getting fed on time before!

Uhh... yeah, that's my world. How's by you?
