Apr. 6th, 2006 04:19 pmHmm, what's new? Well, I got cute new shoes. :) Though, the right one is just a leeetle tight right now- needs to be broken in a bit I think. These were an eBay purchase along the lines of 'new, never worn.' Which for shoes seems like a good idea.
It's annoying but somewhat sensical that after seeing a spider- on the floor- I get jumpy every time I feel something that could be a spider on my skin. Usually it's a hair that's making a break for freedom. But still, it's annoying. The logical bit of me knows it's not a spider, but until I check I won't believe it isn't.
Going to get my hair trimmed tonight- the ends are uneven. I had to call earlier because while I had it in my head that my appointment was today- the note I had with the time had the 4th written on it. Heh, heh, oops. I called and confirmed that yes, my appointment was two days ago- but she had an opening for tonight, so it's all good. This will be my first time seeing this stylist- so we'll see. I can be awfully picky about who cuts my hair. I had an appointment last week that I ended up canceling (at a different salon) because I just didn't like the vibe I got from the chicky who was going to cut my hair.
Anyway... The hubby is home tonight- they started clinical shifts at the hospital this week, he goes Thursdays and Fridays- so he takes Thursday nights off in order to get his med cards done. For those that don't know, med cards are little index cards with a ton of information written on them for a particular medication. Apparently they are a pain in the ass. Me, I've never had to do one, I don't know. I just hear about them. A lot. No, really. Since work occasionally wants him to - yanno, work! he can't get all his clinical stuff from Day 1 done in time for Day 2- hence Thursday nights off. The shit side to this- even though he put the rest of the Thursdays in the term (6 weeks worth) as vacation days- his boss said no- he had to work Sundays instead. This means that he works midnight to noon Sundays. This sucks. And it's all because his co-worker who would have to cover his shift doesn't want to work 40 hours a week. Poor thing. *rolls eyes* So my hubby is actually gaining hours while the twit is losing (and he loses his healthcare). See, with the other schedule both were working 32 hours- the minimum for full time and health insurance. With this change Hubby is working 36 hours and the wonder twit is working 28.
Just makes me grumpy. Means I get less weekend time with hubby, and hubby has to drop out of gaming until the end of term. Grump!
