Haven't posted much of anything of substance lately. It's been a strange month- the boss lady has been freaking out a bit and wanting everything done RIGHT NOW OMG!!!1!!1 Though I have been pretty good so far about not billing clients for equipment if I'm not sure they've received it yet. Boss Lady is great most of the time, but she is inclined to panic. Boss Man isn't, so there's some sort of middle ground to be found. So that's given me more time to sit and read and comment than to really come up with too many posts of my own.
In other news, I have the suspicion that I'm getting sick. My throat was a bit sore yesterday morning and then just continued to be sore. It's a bit better right now- but according to the hubby (who was all excited to play nurse) my tonsils are a bit inflamed. (enflamed? whatever) Other than the tonsils being ouchy I don't actually feel sick. Hopefully the tonsils will get better before I do start to really ail. We're going to see Baby B this weekend and I want to be able to cuddle her guilt free. :)
In other whiny news- my arm hurts. Has been for some time. This is annoying as it's on again off again kind of pain. The pain is now kind of centered around my left elbow and radiating up and down my arm. My wrist seems fine, so I don't think it's run of the mill tendinitis. Someone here suggested bursitis, but I don't know. Doesn't seem swollen enough for it. I should go to a doctor, I know. However, I still haven't found a new one and I don't want to go back to my old one. Besides, complaining is just so much more fun! Not to mention easier. ;)
What else can I complain about? Oh yes, TIRED! Meant to get to sleep early last night- I tried to! However, the DH had some homework he forgot about- so even though he was home by 8:30 he was still working up until 12 am. Bleah, my job (self appointed) was too keep him from losing it too much. And I just wanted to keep him company since he was actually home! So I stayed up until he threw in the towel and decided to just go to bed- the med cards could wait.
The problem is that he tries to do *everything* and then gets frustrated with the lack of time. Day before yesterday this included trying to make lunch and run up and down three flights of stairs to do laundry. Just before I got home for lunch he was setting the table, tried to carry too much, bobbled two of the plates and they ker-SMASHED! on the kitchen floor. The scene I walked into was just plate bits *every where.* I locked the cats up in separate rooms and helped clean up. I was amazed at how far some of the plate bits traveled. For the few of you that have been to my apartment, the plates smashed at the edge of the kitchen linoleum (and scarred it) and I found two small bits of plate by the coffee table end that's closest to the sliding glass doors. Hubby was quite upset at himself- but these things happen, plates break.
So overall, things aren't going badly- really. Just not going particularly well either. Oh, and I think perhaps I am getting sicker, tummy is doing the FEED ME!! bit, which tends to me it's trying to avoid nausea (somehow more food means less upsetness). Not to mention my lack of, umm... concentration isn't the right word, nor is focus. Something along the lines of completing a thought or remembering what the end of the sentence was supposed to be by the time I get there. I think I may try for a 20 minute nap at lunch time...
