Not a Meme!
Dec. 9th, 2005 10:57 amOh my goodness!
Last night I indulged in the sort of excitement I posted about day before yesterday. There was napping, eating, stitching and Noir watching. Noir is indeed getting weird. I like.
After the Hubby got home it was time for sleeping. So why was there no sleeping? Not for any GOOD reasons. Sadly we both spent the night tossing and turning, snatching moments of sleep here and there but nothing of any real substance. Yay. *sighs* The hubby kept apologizing for waking me up, eventually prompting me to snap "that I hadn't been sleeping ANYWAY and to stop it!" *grr*
You know how there are some nights that involve waking up and feeling like you've been asleep forever- only to discover that a mere 2-3 hour had passed? So you end up feeling like you spent a really long night but got lots of sleep? That wasn't last night. Oh, it was a REALLY long night, just with a lot more 'why can't I sleeep?' whining and so on.
When the alarm went off the first time early morning cuddles commenced. This is how I heard the hubby muttering something in his sleep- the only distinguishable words I could make out was 'thank you.' Thus intrigued, I had to ask him about it when the snooze alarm sounded. Apparently he's 'got it' now- some zinger for the Right Wing types- and he was thanking someone or something for it all coming together. He explained it to me, but I'm not going too far into it here- he said he wanted to write it up, and if he does I'll see if I can't transcribe it here.
So... there was snow. Quite a bit fell overnight. The Hubby got up with the express purpose of cleaning off my car and making sure I wasn't plowed in. See, when the roads (or in this case apartment complex parking lots) are plowed the excess snow has to go somewhere, right? So it piles up on either side of the plow. Driveways thus get plowed in, as do cars in apartment parking lots. Have I mentioned yet that we don't own a shovel? Common sense dictates we should have one- we live in a place where it snows and you just never know. However, living in an apartment, and not responsible for shoveling the walk- we didn't think we would need one. Perhaps we will change this in the future. Not likely this weekend as I foresee a run on such items.
Anyway, the Hubby cleaned off the car and drove the car back and forth a few times to make sure I could get out. He's so sweet. :) (to get all googly, he's so amazing and is always doing things that just make me fall for him all over again. I like this being in love thing. :) )
Drove in to work. Wasn't too bad. Haslett and Okemos believes strongly in that Plow idea. So while the roads weren't perfectly clean, they were quite driveable. Normally it takes me between 6-8 minutes to get to work- today it took about 11. Which means that going home for lunch is still very doable. :) I like this as we had planned for a Quiznos lunch.
Course now Mrs Boss says they were planning on getting pizza for lunch. Though she also said she figured I would be going home as she understands that since this is the only time I really get to see the Hubby during the day - that I really want to, yanno, see him. This IS the woman that's working with her husband. Now, I've stated that I'm all schmoopily in love with my husband, but I don't think I could stand to work with him all day in an office AND spend every evening with him. Though I do wish my hubby and I had a more compatible schedule.
So now I'm just killing time until lunch- and then after work. More excitement this evening- and tomorrow is shopping for all kinds of things! Yay.
