You scored as Elizabeth I. I am Queen Elizabeth I of England. I am sometimes vain of my appearance, but usually level headed, though I have inherited my father's temper. I like to put on a performance. I have a way with languages and with words. I can inspire my subjects. I also accept the counsel of those who would advise me, though I stay true to my own opinions.

Last night the DH and I went up to Alma to see Baby B.
She's absolutely beautiful! Gah, I'm so in love. :) She's got the prettiest lil nose, and hair! A blond baby that has hair! And apparently she inherited her mother's dagger nails- not even a full day old and she scratched her chin a little bit.
Baby B slept the entire time we were there- through many passings from one person to the next. Mostly her Aunt K and I 'argued' (jokingly) about who had dibs. I won the initial round 'cause I was grandma. ;) Plus K was there first and had already been holding her for a little bit. Apparently in the 'guess the length/weight' contest K and I tied (I had the closest weight, she was dead on for length) so we got to split the take- and I think we both donated our winnings to Baby B.
The room got to be quite crowded. M was sharing her room with another new Mum- who had a couple friends in to see her. Then there was DH and myself, K and her hubby, MIL and her hubby. M's hubby J was there when we got there but he left shortly thereafter- he's sick and was wearing a mask around Baby B. He went home to get some sleep. M's mom D was there briefly- but as she had also been there most of the say she left to see her husband.
It was nice to talk to M about the whole thing, and hold Baby b quite a bit. :) We did get a couple pictures, now just need to finish off the roll and get it developed. Then everyone can see how absolutely adorable she is. :)

Can you tell I'm bored?
Nov. 9th, 2005 11:20 amFor fun... I looked up Baby B's horoscope for yesterday:
Scorpio Quickie:
At the office, an unexpected outburst could improve your chance for a promotion. <-- Not at the office, but there was that whole 'birth' thing... a promotion of sorts
Overview:
Whether you're single or attached, this is the type of astrological weather that's just perfect for connecting with someone special. If someone who answers that description is already in your life, make sure you've got plans made. Does meeting your family for the first time, outside the womb, count as connecting? ;)
Today's 'quickie'
Quickie:
Turn to family for unconditional love and support. They are behind you all the way. Definitely!
