The Gospel According to Anne
Oct. 24th, 2005 08:30 amAnd by that I don't mean me...
The queen of the occult has been gone awhile. What's Anne Rice been up to? Getting healthy, finding God-and writing her most daring book yet.
But I do think that I'm a bit frightened. At one point I did enjoy her Vampire Chronicles (well, not the first one, Louis was way too whiny). Yet the idea of her writing about the life of Jesus Christ- FROM his point of view. I knew she had an ego... but really!
While I don't consider myself a Christian, I still find this idea rather offensive. Maybe I'm jumping the gun and shouldn't judge what may be a real spiritual finding on her part- and due to that a desire to write about the life of Christ. I'm just finding that a bit hard to swallow.
