Apparently the Beau and I really do have His and Her cats, as was shown yesterday.

The Beau was sitting on the couch, studying for an exam and Sasha jumped up into his lap. He pet her for a moment, and she curled up all comfy like. Just as she was comfy Leo showed up. He just sat by the Beau's feet and *stared* at Sasha.

It's hard to sleep while being stared at, Sasha woke up, looked at Leo and hissed. Then, however, she got up and stalked to the other end of the couch. Leo jumped up and stood on the Beau's lap and allowed himself to be petted for a moment- before jumping down to go about his business.

I'm pretty sure the scene included kitty-telepathy along the lines of:

L: stare... "Uh... Sasha... that's my person. You have the other person. You're not allowed on my person's lap. Yanno, just in case I want to sit there."

S: "What? I'm comfy..." hiss "Oh fine, but only because I want to" stalks to other side of couch

L: jumps onto lap "Ah, yeah, if I want to sit here this would be good" gets pet "Nice. Okay, time to go" hops down.

While reading comments in another journal a woman wrote that she had a short attention span. This brought the following to mind.

The Beau and I were in the car heading somewhere and I was telling a story about something, probably about something I read here or on Grex, when I paused mid-sentence and actually said,

"Lookit the kitty!"

There was a kitty. It was sitting on someone's driveway, and it looked really cute. And yes, it took me a few seconds to figure out why the Beau was laughing so hard.

Thing is, I see cats around a LOT, maybe it's just because I'm looking for them on some level- but driving around town, or just going for a walk- and there one will be in a window, or on a driveway, or just about. And being me, I feel the need to point them out whenever I see them.

You scored as Elizabeth Bennet. As one of Austen's most beloved characters, Elizabeth Bennet represents what most women would like to become: strong, independent, and loyal. Of course, she has her faults including a stubborn will of iron and a clinging to first impressions. Overall, Lizzie is bright and lovable...something to admire and aspire to.

Heh, apparently I'm about even between the two sisters- it came down to a two question 'tie-breaker' :)

As first seen on [livejournal.com profile] azbound's journal
you are lightcyan
#E0FFFF

Your dominant hues are green and blue. You're smart and you know it, and want to use your power to help people and relate to others. Even though you tend to battle with yourself, you solve other people's conflicts well.

Your saturation level is very low - you have better things to do than jump headfirst into every little project. You make sure your actions are going to really accomplish something before you start because you hate wasting energy making everyone else think you're working.

Your outlook on life is very bright. You are sunny and optimistic about life and others find it very encouraging, but remember to tone it down if you sense irritation.

Posted in [livejournal.com profile] note_to_cat but I thought I would share it here too... Lunch is never boring.

Dear Danger Boy!

When Mommy tells you something is a bad idea she really isn't just trying to spoil your fun. Like today, you were told that jumping from the bathroom counter to the top of the door wasn't a good idea.

You tried, and well- you did make it to the top of the door- but the force of the jump made the door move, didn't it Baby? Then you tried to grab onto the molding on the closet door. It didn't hold and I'm not sure who was more surprised- you or me. Luckily cats land on their feet, and the molding can be snapped back onto the door.

But I DID tell you it wasn't a good idea.

Love you Danger Boy!
Mommy

Dearest Sasha the Grey,

Thank you for coming to check on the calamity in the bathroom. Though was hissing at Leo really necessary? He'd just been traumatized (or was that your way of telling him he deserved it?)

Love you,
Mommy
