How to tell you've worked in a bad environment in the past- and it is shadowing you still... much like a bad relationship can.

I'm an hourly worker and everyday I fill out a lovely time card- time in, lunch out/in, time leaving. Well today the boss-lady comes to talk to me and tells me that as of Monday I'll be punching in and out like all the other hourly workers. My first inclination- near panic, I've been doing quite well and am early, leave shortly after I need to, the only thing is lunch may have gone on too long a time or two.

However, I keep telling myself that I'm being silly. The Boss Lady said that I was the only hourly worker not punching in and out- and that since our bookkeeper is leaving it'll be more consistent and easier if I punch in and out like everyone else. Which I believe to be true- I'm still just in a tizzy that somehow I'm losing a 'privilege' and now have to punch in because I've been doing something wrong.

'Cause back when I worked for the Leperchaun he was unable to directly tell someone when they'd messed up. He would tell others in the office, talk about you around a corner, but never be direct. So now I'm almost still looking for that kind of avoidant 'you're on watch' sort of berhavior.

This isn't that place and these aren't those bosses. So why am I still nervous?
