Trends?

I'm not a terribly trendy person... things come around, I notice, sometimes. Half the time I don't know where they came from/how they came into being, or even what they fully mean. However usage gives clues and that's usually good enough to get by- not trying to be a poser or anything- just don't always ask for more information.

That said, where did "pwned" come from? Is it a 'fat fingered' typo that happened so often it became slang? That's another thing- 'fat fingered' as a term- I no like.

Oh and as for pwned... to me, it looks like someone left the 'a' from pawned. :)

What was the title of that story- Alexander and the Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day- was that it?

So I go home for lunch- per usual- and the Beau is *grumpy.* Apparently when he was at the grocery store checking out the machine didn't want to take his card. There was money in the account, it was a machine glitch. (later he found out the bank was making a big switch and all account access was denied for a short period of time.) So he was grumpy, also because he overcooked the macaroni in Mac-n-Cheese- and it was pretty gross. However, between Leo and myself we had him laughing by the end of lunch hour.

Come back to work, and as I'm getting out of my car I hear this 'psssssssssss' sound. Knowing this can't be good (and because my 'Low Tire Pressure' light had come on) I look toward the sound. Sure enough- the rear drivers side tire was deflating. Pulling out my handy dandy new cell phone I called up the Beau.

This is one of those times where it's good that we work different shifts. He was able to come to my work- put on the spare, drive it to the tire place and get two new tires, and return the car to me before he left for work. So all is well, but in some ways it's still grumpy making. The expense wasn't something we had budgeted in.

Just several annoyances all coming up at the same time. (the top came off a bottle of Zout - a stain remover, and I was running late both this morning and back after lunch... and it was just a mess)
