Note to self- after morning shower remember Eucerin. Forearms are NOT happy and we don't like the overly tight, irritated feeling the non-eucerined eczema is causing.

Thank you.

The Beau was able to finagle himself a spot in the spring 06 full time Nursing program at LCC. Prior to this they had placed him in the part time program beginning this fall. The part time program was to meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 4pm to 10ishpm. Now, the Beau works from 4pm to 12am Monday through Friday. Are we seeing the problem here?

He accepted the spot, they have to sign a contract of sorts, but appealed their decision. Apparently there was lots of writing on the paper as to why. Today he spoke to them and was given the full time spring spot. YAY! As for this fall, he can take some of the classes he will need to have to enter an ADN to BSN program. I'm so happy about this, and for him. He's much relieved and happy about this too.

On another front, I got my official engagement ring today. :) Back in March we purchased wedding bands and weren't sure if I would be getting an engagement ring. However one of the reasons we picked the band for me that we picked was because it had a matching engagement ring. However, the engagement ring had been purchased a few days prior to our showing up at The Wedding Ring Store (part of The Wooden Skate). So we've been waiting, and waiting, and waiting, for another set to come in so that we can see this engagement ring and possibly purchase it.

Waited... and waited... we would stop in from time to time to see if it was in. Then a few weeks ago we stopped in and the very nice man we were working with said that yes it had come in- but he put it in the cleaner and three of the stones fell out. So he sent it back and expected a new one in a few days. This made us a little leary of the quality of the workmanship. We debated, and then when the ring didn't come in, again the decision was made. Last Saturday we went in with my band with the plan to return it and pick out a new wedding set. Mike, the guy who worked there, wasn't terribly surprised to see us. He had spoken to the Beau on the phone about this a few times and had come to this conclusion too. So he had a few alternate settings for us to look at. And we found an absolutely gorgeous ring set. He took back the original band, no problem, and we got a new set and all they had to do was put the stone I had picked into it. They didn't even have to size it at all- which is good because we thought it was white gold but it turns out it's platinum.

The Beau was able to pick up the completed ring this morning. He was very sweet, and sneaky. When I got home from lunch he initially made it sound like he wasn't able to get to the store, and distracted me with news about school. Then, before I left to go back to work he got down on one knee and proposed all over again. I almost cried. It was wonderful.
