Yanno, headaches can be caused by all sorts of things- like an infection in a tooth.
So after whining yesterday (or was it the day before?) about my headaches- I realized yesterday morning that I remembered this type of pain. The last time I felt pain like this was right before I had my wisdom teeth out. So this led to looking around in the phone book for a dentist. My rep at Officeteam recommended someone, that I couldn't work with. Not having insurance and not having oodles of cash I needed to work out a payment plan- and that dentist wouldn't help.
In the end I found someone and the beau was good enough to take me in (considering he had to be at work at 4 pm, and we didn't get to the dentist's until 2 pm- luckily he was only a few minutes late). So the dentist thinks I have an infection and wants me to take an antibiotic and then come back in 2 weeks because he's afraid I might need a root canal. Yippee. So I have keflex (or something) and vicodin. Now, I explained to the nice lady assistant dentist that the last time I had vicodin prescribed it didn't do anything for me. So she responds with "this is ES, did you have ES before?" I don't know... So she insists I try it.
Again with the lack of insurance thing, I was afraid the prescriptions would be costly- luckily, not so much. So I take the pills as directed. All the vicodin really did was make me sleepy- but since sleeping had been a problem the night before- I figured that was actually a really good result. Last night saw me watching a bit of Stargate SG1 season 1 and snoozing on and off on the couch. Was a pretty good night. :)
Work... so do NOT want to be here. Only this afternoon and tomorrow to go though, so I suppose I can put up with it. For example, I'm on the other side from where I used to sit and one of the clerks here is training the person who took over for me. So someone asks the clerk why she's not at her desk and she explains that she's training the new person and they have so much to go over because all this stuff wasn't done... And then some, all while I'm sitting right here, in obvious hearing range. The caseworker I was working for had been going on and on about how her previous clerk always had an empty inbox by the end of the day, etc. Okay, this is the same woman who told me she thought it would take about 6 months for any new person to really get the job down- yet I was expected to know everything when I hadn't even been there two months. Grumpf.
But I have new icon to indicate grumpiness! So that's good news.
