The weekend...
May. 31st, 2005 12:19 pmSo... back to work, and not entirely happy about it... had a wonderful weekend and really didn't want it to end.
Saturday saw the Beau,![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
randomspin and myself heading to Ann Arbor for to game Mage with DK, BE and mightyafrodite and JH. Game was quite a bit of fun. Heh, my character kept going up to one of the others and telling her that 'so-and-so is crazy.' After she was there about the second person I think her own sanity was being questioned. ;) It was also very nice to visit with friends I haven't seen for awhile.
Sunday continued that trend as PJ, wife J and her lil sis C and the Beau and I headed out to see Episode III. ( My thoughts )
Okay, so that led to ice cream being sought and consumed. After sitting in a non-square Fountain Square, we all returned to the apartment. C was trying fairly hard to make friends with the cats. Sasha retreated, too many people in her house, and Leo put up with the petting in hopes he would get played with. Had pizza and were entertained by the cats (and their efforts to get said pizza).
The boys went out for alcoholic beverage supplies, which is bizarre since we don't usually drink. C, being a young one was not partaking in drinks and she eventually fell asleep on the couch. The 'adults' played a few games of Spades. Made more interesting by my inability to pay too much attention (I got a little bit tipsy...). After one game the girls took on the team name 'Wookie' in the hopes that the boys would adjust their strategy to 'let the Wookie win.' Sadly, we were mistaken. All in all, it was very much fun.
This leads to a very late start for yesterday. Woke up feelin' good and wanting Chinese food. I think I was dreaming about it or something. Sadly the place we usually order from was closed for the holiday. Instead it was off to the store (for the Beau) to get fixins for hamburgers (well, hamburger and buns) and thus lunch was prepared.
We watched Lewis Black's latest 'Black on Broadway' and again I laughed to the point of being in pain. I love that man... he's just too funny. According to him milk= moo cow fuck juice and lactose free milk should not be next to his moo cow fuck juice because it makes the mcfj feel bad about itself. Also, soy milk is not milk, it's soy juice, but they can't call it that because just saying soy juice makes you start to gag a little.
I highly recommend it.
After that the Beau had to go in to work- so it was just me. Watched Episode IV and stitched, (after some cleaning) and then put in Ep V and stitched... Are we sensing a theme? ;) And eventually I went to sleep... only to wake up and have to come here. Ah well. At least it's already Tuesday.
