1)Total number of books owned?
Oh dear God... you really think I can count them all? Let's just say it was almost the breaking point of my relationship with the Beau when he realized how many boxes of books had to be carried up the stairs to our third floor apartment. ;) He has plenty too, though he doesn't tend to keep everything he's read like I do.

2) The last book I bought?
Uh... I really don't remember. I think it was Lois McMaster Bujold's Curse of Chalion. Which, incidentally, is great fun, and has an interesting look at the relationship between people and Gods (and what book isn't fun when you have a god named The Bastard?).

3) The last book I read?
Well, I'm currently reading Holder of Lightening (first of the Cloud Mage books) and Paladin of Souls the semi-sequel to Curse of Chalion, oh and I started The Golden Compass awhile back.

4) 5 books that mean a lot to me?
a. L.M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables series and Emily of New Moon series.
b. Anne McCaffrey's Harper Hall trilogy. There's something about that trilogy that just fires up my imagination somehow- I usually re-read the whole trilogy every other year or so.
c. Mercedes Lackey's trilogies - Arrows of the Queen and the Last Herald Mage. Again with the imagination, and I really loved the characters.

Oh, and I meant to be around here more over the weekend- but my stupid computer has suddenly decided to stop talking to the outside world! *grrs*

The modem dials up and connects, but as soon as I open a web browser I get an illegal error something or other and the program (Netscape or IE) shuts down.

So until this gets figured out I will not be writing from home. Any of my tech savy friends have any ideas? (Oh, I did uninstall AOL- but I used the 'add/remove program' thingie)

So while I was at work today the Beau figured out what my computer glitch was caused by. Apparently the 'Turboconnect' program we use in conjunction with our dial-up service was FUBARed and had to be uninstalled and reinstalled. So all better!

In other news... the company that I REALLY wanted to work for? Well, the person who e-mailed saying they might have a position opening up was apparently right. I have an interview coming up this Friday for an administrative assistant position with a new department. :)
