Couple notes...
Apr. 18th, 2005 01:06 pmI 'went' to lunch late, as it were, and as a result have a few moments to update here.
Awhile back the Beau and I watched "Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again." It was funny, but I do think that the first one was funnier. A couple amusing points- Jeff Foxworthy was talking about how his girls were getting curious about boys, and were attempting to get a look at him... They explained that they wanted to see a 'hoo hoo' "Let me tell you something about hoo hoos, they're poisonous." Claims the Fox. To which his youngest daughter decries "They are not! If they were the dog would be dead!" Made me giggle like crazy when I first heard it.
The second point came a bit later when all 4 of the gents were on stage for their 'storytelling' bit. At one point in a lull a woman from the audience cries out "Larry, I love you!" and without missing a beat he pops back with, "I told you to stay in the truck."
In other news- an ode to comfy pants. Well, in prose, I don't do poetry. Not well at any rate. Most of the time when I get home from work I'm in the apartment to stay and thusly don comfy pants. (any errands were run on the way home, or don't get run until the next day. ;) ) Until quite recently my only pair of comfy pants were lovely black Vicky's Secret cotton loose leg pants that the lovely![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
mightyafrodite purchased for me a few Chritmases ago. Thus they get worn a LOT and I worried about their getting worn out. However, this fear has been alleviated somewhat in the purchase of new comfy pants. From Target of all places. :) Same black, draw string SOFT cotton pants that make hanging around the homefront very relaxing.
Everyone should have comfy pants. Clothing that doesn't bind or restrict. Clothing that you can lay on the couch in, or wander the house doing chores in that doesn't cause a bother. You don't worry if this article of clothing is flattering or not- it doesn't matter, it's perfectly comfortable. If only all days could be spent in comfy clothes.
Oh, and speaking of themightyafrodite given my current temp job- at Section 8- I can more easily understand now why your sister fails to recognize people. Some who come here I wouldn't mind greeting on the street- others I might just have to run away from. (or kill...) :) So speaking of the older sister, do tell her I said hi- wouldja? Thanks!
