It's a dull, grey, rainy Monday. This is the kind of day best spent in jammies and curled up on the couch with a loved one (human or feline or canine) watching movies and drinking cocoa.

Unfortunately I can't do that today. I'm supposed to be working but have absolutely no motivation to do anything- even the project that is due the 10th. I don't think it will take all that long- which is probably why I'm okay dawdling on it.

The weekend was pretty good. Got to spend some time with the Beau- we watched Season 1 of Coupling and the first episode of The Prisoner. Coupling is fantabulous! I just found this show and absolutely adore it. I've heard of it for quite awhile but never actually saw it. I laughed so damn hard, and Jeff is just my favorite. :) The Prisoner was really neat too. Much enjoying.

What else? Oh yes, Sunday [livejournal.com profile] frawg_angel and I met up to go to Stitch-n-Time's annual sale and while there saw [livejournal.com profile] crwilley which was nifty. :) Had a lot of fun talking to the two of them, which is good considering how insane the checkout line was. Didn't spend too much more than I had intended- though they didn't have the kit I really really wanted. I'll just have to order that one online- Or check out Nimble Needle, a store that I just found that's apparently close to me- in Williamston, or Stitches-n-Things that new friend [livejournal.com profile] sarbah77 just told me about. Tee hee, a reason to go cross stitch shopping- like I needed one.

The cats were very pleased with the bag I brought home my new stuff in. Leo thinks it's the greatest thing since feather toys (oh and [livejournal.com profile] frawg_angel that one you gave me? He snagged before I could detach it from the cardboard. Once he calmed a bit I'm pretty sure he said thanks. :) )

So Sunday evening I spent mostly cuddled up with the Beau watching Prisoner, Serial Mom and season 4 episode 1 of Buffy. This is, when I wasn't half ruining dinner. Why is it that I can remember all the ingredients for my mom's fabulous meatloaf, but I can't remember what temp to cook it on? Last time I had to call and ask my sis, this time I thought I remembered and ended up blackening the outer 'shell' and had to surgically remove the blackened bad bits. The Beau assured me this was fine- especially since the potatoes were a leeetle too whipped (when meatloaf is made by me he is in charge of the from potatoes mashed potatoes). Dinner turned out to taste okay, even with the messes.

Got a bit of stitching done. Which felt good. More tonight! Though, my Netflix are all in a state of being returned or shipped so I have nothing to watch (well, nothing new, I'm sure I can find something!).

How are ya'll?

Yeah, not so surprised, something about having a history degree. Though, I forget- who are the grays again?

What Ajah are you? )

edit: Oh, this was first seen on [livejournal.com profile] padawan_helena's journal.
