Good News

Well, yesterday afternoon, and all day today, I've been working! For money! *gasp* And the fun part is I'm filling in for the receptionist, so all they really want me doing is answering the phone. I was told that I was more than welcome to bring a book in- or go online if I wanted, although no downloading porn. So I'm getting paid to be online. I can deal with this. :)

However, this is just for today (and yesterday) Monday will be a whole new ball o' wax. My temp company has an assignment for me- I'll be covering someone's maternity leave- so starting Monday through March 11th I will be employed. Thank goodness. This will make things a lot easier for the beau and myself. As we talked about yesterday "Now we can have a Christmas!" a poor, we can't afford much Christmas, but still- more Christmas that we thought we would have.

This is quite the relief. And the job site isn't too far from where I live- about 20 minutes away with traffic. This I can deal with.

Too good to be true

Well, it seemed too good... the job apparently *isn't* 40 hours a week- only 32.5. And the temp company has no other jobs for me. Le sigh. Hopefully the company here won't mind if I call the beau real quick on my lunch break. I don't know if this will work.
